ABOUT MY ART AND ME
My art is a deep exploration of the human psyche, our identity, and the complex emotions that shape us. Through my work, I invite people to look beyond the surface and discover the often contradictory facets of humanity. In my paintings, intense colors merge with distorted forms – a visual representation of inner states and emotions that are hard to put into words.
The faces I paint are pure expressions of emotion. They appear both distant and familiar, as if you’re looking into their eyes and connecting directly with unspoken feelings. These faces reflect the inner struggles we all carry: joy, pride, and beauty coexist with sadness and doubt. My work captures this duality – the interplay of light and shadow, moments of brightness and darkness.
My background in fashion design naturally finds its way into my art. Inspirations from fashion illustrations are present in my work, even though my expression remains abstract and raw – reminiscent of artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat. This blend of figurative representation and abstract intensity gives my art its unique character.
My creative process is as intuitive as my art itself. I don’t work with sketches or rigid plans but let my thoughts and emotions guide me, creating each piece spontaneously. This freedom and spontaneity make every painting a surprise – not just for the viewer but also for myself.
With every brushstroke, I aim to capture the essence of what it means to be human. My art is more than just a depiction – it’s a mirror of the inner world. It reveals how we are all connected through our shared complexity and contradictions.
