About the Artist
Jessica Jokiel is a Berlin-based artist whose work explores the emotions and experiences that connect us as human beings.
Working between figurative expressionism and abstract portraiture, she creates faces that become emotional landscapes — raw, intuitive, and deeply personal. Her paintings are not intended to provide clear answers; instead, they invite viewers to pause, reflect, and recognize fragments of their own stories within the work.
Jessica’s background in fashion design has given her a strong understanding of form, composition, and aesthetics.
Color plays a central role in her practice. Bold tones, distorted forms, and expressive brushstrokes translate feelings that are often difficult to articulate: vulnerability, confidence, joy, fear, longing, and transformation. In her paintings, beauty and imperfection exist side by side, mirroring the complexity of human identity.
